I’ve always been drawn to emotion. To the joy in a father’s eyes during the first look, the soft nervous energy right before the ceremony, the tiny, fleeting in-between moments most people miss. Capturing those is what I do best.

And I must go... I will always opt for the mountains over the beach. In fact this year, my husband and I hiked Tour Du Mont Blanc for my birthday.

Where It All Began

I lost my dad when I was four and never knew this part of our story. But in that moment, something clicked — a connection and realization that I am exactly where I'm supposed to be.

Now, as a mother, I feel it even more. These photos we pass down? They’re proof that we were here. That we loved. That it all mattered.

It’s why I photograph the way I do.

With calm care, deep presence, and a reverence for the stories still unfolding.

In 2017, while visiting my uncle in Chicago, he handed me a bag of old film rolls and said, “These were your grandfather’s.” That night, I learned he’d been a photographer — weddings, families, a studio of his own. My dad used to help him.
