I don’t usually have the opportunity to photograph families unless they are at a wedding, so when I do get the rare chance I jump on it. Especially families like this. The Bromwells were celebrating the 60th wedding anniversary of their parent and alongside were the grand kids and 2 of the great grandkids. What a special day to be surrounded by so many people who are thrill to see what 60 years of marriage looks like. One of their granddaughters is a friend of my husbands and when she first asked me to do this i was honored. Its not often, especially these days you get the opportunity to meet a couple that has made it 60 years. She told me the family would be having lunch, relaxing, fishing and just celebrating being together.
To all my couples, families and friends, I wish you all years of happiness, love and bonds that span the test of time. Step back every once in a while and reflect of what brought you together in the first place. Love is a powerful thing that we should never lose sight of. XOXO – J

Great shots!!
Such a cute family! And I love how genuine and authentic this shoot is! You captured a day in the life of this family… all together, enjoying a summer on the water!
