Allison + Eric | Silver Swan Bayside Wedding

…You are more than just my love. You are always and so much of everything. The thing I needed so desperately, but never knew until I felt it ~ j.m. storm

Allison and Eric exchanged their vows in front of family and friends and at little church on Kent Island. Following the ceremony everyone headed to Silver Swan Bayside to celebrate and dance the night away (and boy was this a dancing crowd). Silver Swan quickly became one of my favorite venues; there are so many beautiful locations for portraits! The team at Silver Swan truly did an outstanding job bringing everything together for their big day.

Although their wedding was nothing short of perfect, one of my favorite pieces of the day took place while Allison was getting ready. She had a little compact to photograph and explained to me that the compact was the very same one her grandmother carried with her on her own wedding day. It doesn’t stop there… Allison carrying the compact is the start of a new tradition in her family – She and now her cousins will carry this same compact on each of their wedding days to remember their grandparents and the great love they had for one another.

I hope in all of our marriages we strive for these exact words, “great love”. Love is something you have to work at every day and marriage is certainly not easy, in fact it’s downright hard at times. And while I wish I had all the wisdom in the world to give you I don’t. But I do have one thing; I hope that you never stop working on your own great love story. I hope you use those people who are in your lives and in your memories as examples of what great love looks like.

Thank you both for having me document these memories for you and allowing me to be a part of your great love. Each time you look at these photos I hope you are filled with the same excitement and love for one another that you had on your wedding day.
