One of my personal goals this year was to really start investing more of my heart into my business. Not that my heart hasn’t been in it already, but I want to take more opportunities to really open up to all of you and share more of the personal happenings and adventures that take place day-to-day. I wanted to begin by writing more personal posts – such things as travel, cooking, DIY projects around the house, and other tips on anything and everything as well as other fun things I can come up with or you want to hear about! (Suggestions are ALWAYS welcome!) If you know me, you know I LOVE Instagram. I share a lot of personal and business related posts on there; it’s quite the mini journey into my life. If your interested you can follow me here. I am hoping to blend the two worlds, to bring the personality on my IG account right here to the blog for all my readers out there.
Today I wanted to share about bit of my recent trip to Nashville! What a fun little city. I was amazed at how big the city is but how it has still maintained that small, hometown feel, they do have so much crammed in one small city! Not to mention Taylor Swifts house, or PENThouse is right downtown… how fun! This place has a ton of country and contemporary culture, honky-tonk bars and great food! Every major city we visit we try to do a trolley tour! cheesy right? But so fun! The drivers are always so knowledgeable about the city and its history and you can ride all day if you wanted. I really enjoy riding the trolley and getting off at different stops and exploring. You could even ride the entire loop, map out what you want to see on the second time around jump on and off at all the stop you have chosen.
A few things we were sad we missed: The grilled cheese food truck, yes you heard me right… GRILLED CHEESE and being able to go to the Blue Bird Cafe – If you watch the show Nashville, you know all about the Blue Bird Cafe. Being a huge country fan this was one stop i wanted to make but it just didn’t work out this time. John and I didnt have a car while there so we also missed out on seeing a show at the Grand Ole Opry. We did however get to see the Ryman Auditorium and many other famous and fun places. I guess this means we have to go back!
My husband and I are avid fitness enthusiasts and really enjoy running. I’m not sure how we got the brilliant idea to start running ½ marathons around the country but we did and I totally ok with it because I have had a dream of traveling to every state in the USA and seriously what a fun way to do it. We now have 2 Half Marathons under our belt; one in Washington and one in Tennessee and we are currently planning a third in Las Vegas (AT NIGHT!!!). The Rock & Roll Marathon series is so much fun with all the live music along the way and it supports a great cause in raising awareness for St. Judes.
I hope you will check back to more about everything JHP! Enjoy the journey john and I took through Nashville during our trolley tour, I hope it makes you feel as though you were right there with us!! XOXO

P.S… When in Nashville, how can you NOT buy some killer boots! If your ever in town check this shop out, Broadway Boots. Got a great deal and the woman who helped us was super knowledgeable and very open and willing to help me get the PERFECT pair of cowboy boots… don’t be surprised if I wear them to your wedding!!

I love those boots in the photo – are those the ones you bought? So cool!
Brea – I wish!! those Boots were $1400 at an antique shop.
